Beautiful pair of Louis XVI andirons, ormolu and patinated bronze, France, late 18th century or circa 1800.

Beautiful model adorned with a couple of patinated bronze greyhounds wearing an ormolu bronze necklace. Dogs are known as the symbol of faithfulness, greyhounds symbolize nobility. The whole symbolizes a noble and faithful love.

Beautiful model, large size designed for a castle mantel.

In very good condition. Matt and shiny gilt renovated during 19th century, in very good condition.
