For 2021 year dedicated to Emperor Naopleon, here is a new video featuring a complete Empire bedroom. GSLR has been collecting a great number of items - pieces of furniture, decoration and ornaments - during last months and put it together in one single room to build up an genuine set just like in the early 1800's.

Feel like Madame Recamier in this stunning Empire mahogany bed next to the matching bedside table, use the chest and the matching desk, but also visit the toilette part and check out the teatime area. The pieces of furniture are arranged in a typical Empire decoration : early 19th century paintings, ormolu candlesticks, porcelain vases, a beautiful clock...

GSLR Antiques is getting into antique housing restoration.

French TV documentary Grands Reportages, shows the beginning of a house restoration work by GSLR Antiques :
- restoring original volumes
- fitting antique solid wood floors
- pasting antique paperwalls
- fetching some pieces of furniture and antique items to match the materials and the period room
- restore the front steps of the Estate in its mid 19th century condition with wrought-iron hand-rails

During 2021, Napoleon's death bicentenary year, GSLR Antiques loans French museums some Empire works.

In Luneville museum, you will discover the full version of a beautiful pair of watercoloured engravings after Carle Vernet that belongs to GSLR Antiques, of which you can already see a detail here. It will be listed into the Museum's catalog and issued in GSLR Antiques catalogue.

2021 is dedicated to Napoleon (Emperor's death bicentenary). On that occasion, GSLR antiques will issue a lot of Empire items all year long.

This beautiful Empire portrait, dated 1813 and signed Edouard Pingret, pupil of David, is soon to be released in GSLR Antiques catalogue.

We are currently having this great painting restored : it will be issued on our Internet website during quarter 1.
