Empire ormolu candlestick, early 19th century circa 1820.

Beautiful model by Claude Galle designed in the 1810's, one of the most talented bronze maker of his time. That pattern was delivered for Imperial Palace of Fontainebleau and is listed in Jean-Pierre Samoyault's book.

Our piece is a later production of His son Gerard Jean Galle.

In very good condition. Original ormolu gilt in excellent condition.
