Pair of ormolu candlesticks, early 19th century beautiful, sober but top-quality Empire period production of Claude Galle ; finely chiseled mercury gilt bronze, matt and shiny finish.
A green leather piece (original condition) under the base allows placing the candlesticks on refined pieces of furniture (with varnished tops for instance) without causing any scratch.
In excellent condition. No distortion, gilt well preserved.
