Spectacular pair of Louis XVI style ormolu candelabras, tall 7 lights model. Luxurious mid 19th century production : very rich neoclassical decoration, remarkable mercury gilt quality worthy of the most famous bronze makers during 19th century ; each piece is composed of 40 independant pieces (the more pieces, the more high range).
The model takes its inspiration from Jean Demosthene Dugourc's repertoire, probably manufactured by a great Parisian bronze maker, presumably Guillaume Deniere.
In very good condition, mate and shiny gilt finish, very well preserved. The pearls friezes on the marble base are missing (not obvious though).
Height: 23"5/8 (60cm)
