Late 18th century / early 19th century French school, portrait of Queen Marie-Antoinette in the Temple prison, after the original portrait of Alexandre Kucharski, oil on canvas mounted on cardboard, gilt wood frame.

Our painting is a royalist historical souvenir, celebrating the memory of the Queen mourning after the death of her husband King Louis XVI. Many replicas of that painting are exhibited at Château de Versailles and Musée Carnavalet in Paris.

Excellent condition, canvas cleaned, as well as the gold leaf gilt frame.

Frame : 18.3 x 22.5cm
Canvas : 14 x 18.3cm
