18th century French School, portrait of a lady wearing a rich blue court dress embroidered with gold and fine lace.
Sitting on a chair, she holds a book and her gold watch. Considering the richness of her clothing, our lady undoubtebly belongs to the high nobility. Circa 1750-60, oil on canvas in a 19th century gilt wood frame (gold leaf gilt).
Beautiful, very well executed painting. Large, very decorative format : our painting tells 18th century refinement of high society's way of life.
Our painting is in excellent condition and was cleaned. Gold leaf gilt frame was cleaned too : in excellent condition as well.
