Pair of cabriolet armchairs, end of Louis XVI period or French Directoire.
Very rich, finely carved model. This decor is really much refined : that would normally suggest that our armchairs are 19th century productions. But they are authentic 18th century seats, a very refined model manufactured in late Louis XVI period (just before French Revolution) or a luxury Directoire model.
Our chair does not have a stamp to precisely identify its author, but it is undoubtedly the work of a major seat manufacturer - to be compared to Jean Baptiste Boulard productions.
They are in excellent condition ; our armchairs are completely restored with great care : old lacquer with pink rechampi cleaned and preserved, traditional horsehair trim on straps. Our elegant armchairs are covered with a gorgeous silky pink fabric manufactured at Tassinari and Chatel (Directoire style).
