Tall porcelain biscuit statue, The Bather, after the model Falconet sculpted in 1758, permanently exhibited in the Louvre. Louis XV style, late 19th century production.

The young girl, about to enter the water, is intended as an allegory of the passage from the state of girl to woman. The statue was often copied (marble, terracotta and biscuit), and this specimen from late 19th century is very well executed. Our bather is a tall piece (67cm), very decorative with a natural movement. It is an ideal piece to place in a hall or on a tall piece of furniture.

Our statue bears a Falconet signature.

It is in excellent condition.

Height : 67cm
