Tall Paris porcelain vase and its lid, beautiful Empire style production enhanced with fine gold, JC monogram and crown of Marquis on the side, satyr masks shaped handles - early 19th century production circa 1830.

Our vase is an ice box actually : it is meant to serve a cold dessert or some caviar in the bowl inside, kept fresh with crushed ice below the bowl at the bottom of the vase.

Beautiful, large piece, to be place in a dining room or in the middle of an Empire pedestal table.

In very good condition, colors and gilt have remained superb. A chip restored (very well, almost invisible).

Très bon état général, couleurs fraîches, superbe dorure à l'or fin. Petit fêle de cuisson, un éclat restauré à la jointure entre le pied et le vase (invisible).
