Lacquered pier glass, gilt wood with gold leaf. Elegant Louis XVI production (18th century, circa 1780), our pier is an allegory of love. The sculpted trophy above the ice takes the attributes (quiver of arrows and torch), chained hearts, bows and arrows cross. It still has its original gold leaf, original mercury mirror that sparkle very nicely, in 2 parts. The set is in excellent condition. Gilt was restored by our gilder. Very decorative piece, it is high but narrow : it can be placed on a fireplace, on a desk between 2 windows... Entirely made of 18th century materials, our pier glass is not that heavy and can easily be suspended.
Height : 172cm
Width : 78cm
