Very large fireplace mirror gilt with fine gold, mercury glass. France circa 1840.
Our mirror is a very large size, which lends itself well to a natural use on a fireplace, or directly on the floor.
Structure and silhouette refer to the Empire style, but moldings (shells, flowers) are introducing Napoleon III style.
Beautiful piece, high quality and very decorative.
Everything is original : gilt with gold leaf in good condition and cleaned by our gilder, mercury glass, original parquetry at the back.
