French hallmark Minerva 1st standard (.950) and silversmith André Aucoc signature (1887-1911).
Founded in 1821, the Aucoc company is a famous parisian silversmith dynasty, installed rue de la Paix in Paris until 1936. Aucoc was with Christofle and Boin-Taburet one of the most innovative silversmiths of the late 19th to early 20th century. Aucoc got numerous medals at universal exhibitions and became provider of King Louis Philippe, the Orleans family, Emperor Napoleon III and his wife, Princess Eugenie, or Queen Victoria.
