Empire ormolu candlestick, early 19th century circa 1805.
Beautiful model by Claude Galle, one of the most talented bronze maker of his time. That pattern was delivered for Imperial Palace of Fontainebleau and is listed in Jean-Pierre Samoyault's book.
In very good condition. Original gold leaf gilt a little attenuated but still there.
