Gentleman or officer vermeil travel set. Luxury production, amaranth and brass veneer with two retractable handles. Vermeil accessories have a LG monogram engraved and French hallmark Minerva 1st standard stamped. French work circa 1850.

- 1 mercury mirror - 3 circular boxes (crystal and vermeil, French hallmark Minerva)
- 1 soap box (crystal and vermeil, French hallmark Minerva)
- 1 toothbrush box(crystal and vermeil, French hallmark Minerva)
- 2 perfume bottles (crystal and vermeil, French hallmark Minerva)
- a leather & vermeil travel inkwell (crystal and vermeil, French hallmark Minerva)
- 1 solid silver penholder that integrates 1 silver pencil which is also a seal
- 1 tortoiseshell knife
- 1 tweezers
- 1 bodkin with an ivory handle
- 1 chrome metal needle case
- 1 chromed metal thimble
- 2 pairs of chrome metal scissors
- 1 punch, 1 corkscrew (the two come together to turn the corkscrew)
- 1 hairbrush and 2 clothes horn brushes
- 1 horn badger and a mustache horn brush (missing the shaver matching horn)

Ivory and tortoiseshell items were manufactured before 1947 Washington Convention.

Nice collector, witness of the sophistication from that mid-19th century era. Each item has its place.

Very good condition and very complete, only 3 spaces are empty. A slit on the top. Vermeil is in good condition.
