Stunning pair of ormolu vases (mercury gilt bronze) or cassolettes, white marble base, late 18th century production or circa 1800 attributed to famous French bronze maker Claude Galle.

Beautiful model with very light designed handles, finely chiseled chimeras, acanthus and vegetable friezes. Matt and shiny finish enhances contrasts.

In excellent condition, gilt is fresh. Small, not significant chips on the marble base.
