28 miniatures portraits of French History characters, 17th century gallery, special order from Augustin Potier de Blancmesnil, Archibishop of Beauvais. Each miniature pictures a great man between 12th and 17th century, the last one being Augustin Potier himself.
Each portrait is a fine oil on panel set into a 19th century round gold leaf gilt wood frame.
The whole set is arranged into two rectangular 19th century Louis XIV style gilt wood frames with a red velvet in he background.
It is in very good condition.
