Rosewood and violet wood marquetry cupboard / wardrobe. Beautiful grey marble. Louis XV period (18th century, circa 1770), Isaac Simon REBOUR stamp.
Isaac Simon Rebour was born in 1735 and received master on July 15, 1767. He worked all his life in the Faubourg Saint-Antoine in Paris. He made mechanical furniture using the talents of the machinist Boullet. Rebour had a good quality production, but the archives show that he was less business talented than cabinetmaker, because he went bankrupt four times.
Very rare item to find, easy to place everywhere.
Very good condition, old polish cleaned and revived by our cabinetmaker. Clean and bright piece furniture. Small black spots on the left side (sparks old traces ?).
