Real pair, each chair is unique with slight variations in the sculptures.
Antique 18th century tapestry, most probably the original. Our chairs are typical of Lyon 's production. Not stamped, but very close to Pierre Nogaret work or his entourage.
Beautiful and generous moldings, elegant proportions, luxury gilt wood finish with gold leaf : beautiful model. Furthermore, the decoration is made on all sides, which is a sign of high quality. If the "à la Reine" chairs are usually placed on the walls, hand and other ceremonial furniture, ours are carved in the back. They are made to be placed in the center of the lounge to be seen from all sides.
Very good condition, gilt mostly original with small restorations made with gold leaf. Healthy structure, antique tapestry, with restorations but well preserved.
