Beautiful antique Louis XV French armchair, 18th century production circa 1750.
Our armchair is stamped OG Mathon (stands for Augustin Mathon), 18th century seat maker who worked under Louis XV reign. His work is quite often in the Regency taste, which is the case with our seat.
It is covered with a stunning pink silk manufactured by Tassinari & Châtel - prestigious French silk manufacturer that supplies the French castles and museums with most luxurious fabrics for their seats and curtains. This silk is amazing : it changes color according to the angle - light to deep raspberry via golden sparkles.
Our seat is in perfect condition. It has just been revised by our seat maker according to the 18th century manufacturing methods.
