Mid 18th century French school, follower of Nicolas Lancret, oil on canvas that shows French aristocrats playing tric trac in the 1730-40.

Beautiful, well executed composition after the painting of Nicolas Lancret : the afternoon (the four parts of the day) executed in 1739 and now at the National Gallery in London.

Our painting is presented in an antique Louis XV style carved wooden frame gilt with gold leaf. The frame was adjusted to the canvas dimensions .

Beautiful painting, fresh colors, clear, well representative of the sweetness of life in the aristocracy in the 18th century. Painting cleaned and restored, frame cleaned.

Frame : 114cm x 87cm
Canvas : 92cm x 73cm
