Collection of 8 semi precious stones intaglios on a green porphyry background in trompe-l'oeil style set into a ovale blackened wood frame, Napoleon III period. The stones are hand-carved ; each shows antique style characters' busts.

Beautiful, refined item, typical of souvenirs of the Grand Tour (European cultural trips that young aristocrat people went through from 17th century to 19th century). Ideal to complete a neoclassical interior decoration.

In very good condition. Composed of antique elements resulting in an authentique looking set.
