Pair of Empire mahogany armchairs, early 19th century.

Similar seats (with minor variants) were delivered in 1814 at Chateau de Chantilly for Prince de Conde appartment. Not stamped, undoubtedly the work of some famous Empire seatmaker such as Marcion, Bellange or more probably Henri Jacob.

Covered with a beautiful 150 years aged antique silk.

In very good condition, varnish refreshed.
