Empire mahogany armchair, early 19th century circa 1815.

Sober and elegant pattern with 4 saber-shaped feet. Beautiful green and yellow checked silk manufactured by Tassinari and Chatel.

Our piece is the high quality version of this quite usual pattern. Generous proportions, palmettes treated in relief - not in counter-relief - show that this one is the high-end finish : the cabinetmaker did not economize mahogany to build his seat.

Ideal for a desk seat, or living room or bedroom use.

It is in excellent condition ; mahogany varnish made as new in a traditional fashion, new silk.

Height : 93cm
Seat height : 41cm
Width : 54cm
