French Consulate / early Empire period mahogany bergere - armchair, early 19th century production circa 1800.

Beautiful Parisian production, luxury level, very finely sculpted satyr-shaped armrests and lion claw-shaped feet. Probably a special order from some French palace or a prestigious family. Not stamped, attributed to Jacob Freres.

Our seat has been restored, varnish has been remade in a traditional way. Seat and backrest are covered with a fine dark green silk velvet fabric from Tassinari & Chatel.

In excellent condition.

Height : 87cm
Seat height : 43cm
Width : 59cm
