Pair of Empire Paris porcelain vases, early 19th century period circa 1820. Beautifuly decorated with polychromatic scenes and enhanced with fine gold gilt (mat and shiny finish freizes). The scenes show - with humour - a short story in two stages : a putto climbing a tree to steal a nest, then playing with it. On the other side, the vase is decorated with antique lyra with griffins on either side, cornucoppia and various garlands on a purple background. Swan-shaped handles on both sides.
Tall format, deep colours, very decorative set in excellent condition. Gilt is extremely fresh. No accident except a small part missing on one swan's beak, no repair.
Height : 27.8cm
