Large porcelain shuttle-shaped bowl. Rich polychromatic and gold decoration - peonies, butterflies and gilt baskets.
Our cup bears Chinese characters signature underneath. The decor is typical of the taste of China or East India Company during the 18th century. It may be a Chinese production or an excellent 19th century copy by Samson Manufacture (very famous French manufacture that made perfect copies during 19th century, much appreciated today among porcelain connoisseurs.)
Beautifully shaped piece, large proportions, strong decorative effect. Some small chips on the edges.
