Tall tortoise shell and brass marquetry clock, Louis XIV period - early 18th century.

Beautifully decorated with mercury gilt bronze (ormolu).

Original mechanism (suspension modified during 19th century) signed Fiacre Clément - Paris, one of the most popular Parisian clock makers during early 18th century.

In excellent condition ; original key ; varnish has been remade in the traditional way, no marquetry lack, superb ormolu outstandingly preserved, mechanism revised and working.
