Empire mahogany bed, superb flamed Cuban mahogany and exceptional set of ormolu decorations (vases and rosettes).

Beautiful Parisian production entirely veneered on oak, Empire period, early 19th century circa 1808. Columnar models were fashionable from the years 1808 until the end of the 1810s ; our bed is definitely a production of the beginning of this period. The structure with posterior uprights higher than those of the facades is a reminiscence of Consulate period - the beginning of Empire period.

Our bed is in very good condition. The mahogany is shiny, not insolated. Varnish was cleaned and repolished by our cabinetmaker. Ormolu gilt is very well preserved.

NB : this bed, one of the most beautiful and authentic that we have had so far, was one of the heroes in the television program Grands Reportages on TF1.
