French antique chest of drawers / commode, mahogany veneered, Empire period - early 19th century circa 1815-1820.

It opens with 4 drawers.

Our chest of drawers is a superior quality piece with a beautiful Cuban flamed mahogany, round pilasters, a thick grey Turquin marble top, finely chiseled ormolu decoration (matt and shiny).

Our chest of drawers is interesting because of its beautiful Empire style bronzes, but also its small dimensions. It is small and easy to place anywhere (113,5cm width instead of standard 130cm-wide commode).

Our piece has just been fully restored & varnished using traditional technique by our cabinetmaker : it is in excellent condition.
