Paire de tall Empire ormolu candlesticks, (mercury gilt bronze), matt and shiny finish, early 19th century Parisian production circa 1810.

High-end production, matt and shiny finish, every part is solid bronze (no brass), finely chiseled decoration (basketwork pattern, palm leaves). Even though we did not find the exact model in the books we own, our pair of candlesticks reminds of greatest 19th century Parisian bronzemakers work such as Thomire (who by the way used basketwork patterns from time to time).

No accident, in excellent condition, mercury gilt is well preserved.
