Pair of tall bronze candlesticks gilt with fine gold - ormolu. Empire production, circa 1806-1807, attributed to Claude Galle.
SC with a crown on top, mark of Saint Cloud Palace. The crown is Royal, which means our candlesticks can be an imperial command as well, or a Royal production of the 1815-20's (very beginning of Restoration period).
Great sobriety although these are a top-quality production, fine execution. 100% bronze (no brass).
In good condition. Original gilt a little worn out ont the central piece.
