Japan, tall bronze vase with elephant head handles, Meiji period, late 19th century.

Beautiful engraved and applied metal decoration with a golden and colored patina, pictures a samurai in armor, a trunk and branches of a cherry tree, traditional houses roofs. Our vase is typical of the eclectic style in fashion in the years 1870-80 with the movement of Japonism.

In excellent condition ; no bump or accident, no lack.

Height : 62cm (see the bottle in comparison for the scale)
