Luxury manufacturing, gold-plated decorations in relief, lacquer inlaid with sequined patterns, creating a wave effect.
Beautiful collector's item, typical of Japonism period : after 1858 and restart of trade between Japan and France, many Japanese artefacts arrived from Japan to Europe, durig second half of 19th century.
Very good condition, missing lock inside, and probably an intermediate shelf inside.
