Antique ebony jewelry box inlaid with brass decoration. France, 19th century - 1849-1866 production signed Tahan rue de la Paix.

Tahan was a very famous supplier of Emperor Napoleon III. The Court then handed him a large quantity of orders for libraries, tables, pedestals and necessary. The Tahan House participates in exhibitions from 1849 to 1867; it won a silver medal in 1849, one in London in 1852, and a gold medal in 1867.
