Large jewelry box, mahogany, brass and amaranth veneer.

Beautiful 19th century luxury production, made in Paris in the 1850-60's. Signed Sormani, established 12 rue du Temple in Paris (Sormani is one of the most famous cabinet makers in Paris at the end of 19th century. He was a supplier of Emperor Napoleon III.

The central cartridge on top has a SE monogram engraved.

Our box has been restored ; cleaned varnish and new silk inside the box.
