Rare chiseled and gilt bronze (ormolu) Imperial Eagle, so-called Tuileries Eagle, Empire style, Second Empire production, under Emperor Napoleon III's reign.

It is an element of the Imperial splendor that adorned grids and the lanterns all around the Tuileries Palace and other imperial residences, which were dismantled during the Commune pillaging in 1871.

Beautiful historical object, rare and in excellent condition. We can have it mounted on an antique marble base by our marble worker (on request) : contact us.
