Stunning antique French large sterling silver tray or plate, Louis XV / Louis XVI style. Our tray was manufactured by Odiot, most famous French silversmith. Very high quality item (silver thickness...), soberly decorated with ribbons. A coat of arms is engraved on the edge, held by two lions ; a crown of marquis sits on top of it. The tray used to belong to French aristocrat family of Counts of Nattes. French hallmark Minerva 1st standard (.950 purity silver) and silversmith stamp, together with "Odiot à Paris" mention under the tray. Our tray is in excellent condition.
Note that we also sell a large oval tray that comes from the same family, same pattern and same silversmith. It is a rare opportunity to build a luxurious, consistent set of trays.
Weight : 400g
